Getting ready for harvest? This weekend I spent some time putting away my summer items and preparing to decorate for Fall. I always start off with swapping out my wreaths on the front door. This year I decided not to do a wreath but to make a farmhouse sign. This project was really easy and all of the supplies came from my local Michael’s Arts and Crafts store (I saved a lot of money by using coupons).
Materials used:
- Stencil letters
- Glue gun
- Florals
- wood sign or pallet
- ribbon (optional)
- white outdoor acrylic paint
For this project, i used a wooden sign and stencils.
By no way am I a perfectionist so when it comes to stencils I just go with the flow.
I wanted my farmhouse sign to have a harvest themed message so I chose “Be Thankful Be Blessed”.
It is important to position and mark your letters before stenciling. Use white paint and let the paint dry in between coats.
Once you have your stenciling done, it’s time to add some embellishments. I used a couple bunches of florals and glued them on the sign. I love the finished product.
Let me know how you plan to decorate your door for the Fall!
