As a person who works in the Information Technology field, I have always taken an interest into how computers have evolved and the role technology plays in the home today. You can almost control every electronic device in your home with a computer or smart phone.

From touch free toilets to digital art, there are many ways to improve your home decor. I recently upgraded the thermostats in our home to the Nest Learning thermostats. It was so easy to install and comes with some pretty handy features that can save you energy. Like built in sensors that detect if you are home allowing you to adjust temperatures based on your schedule.

Sherwin Williams has a color app called Color Snap that allows you to see paint on your walls in real-time. I thought this was a very useful app. I could easily send pics to my friends or a designer for advice before actually purchasing the paint.

There are so many smart devices. I will share more with you as I continue to upgrade my home.
